ENVIRONMENTAL & SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

The source of our inspiration is the centuries-old art of candle making, combined with the desire to use natural materials and to promote the high-skill level of traditional artisans which are unique to Bali. We strive to produce Natural Light Candles in a mindful manner. During the production process we constantly ask ourselves how we can be an environmentally and socially responsible member of our community.

Our repsonse: Natural Light Candle Co. produces candles in a fair-trade facility. Whenever possible, we use natural ingredients, including sustainable beeswax, soy wax, and RSPO certified sustainable palm wax. We:

	Adhere to international standards for health, safety, environmental and labor regulations.
	Use safe, lead-free wicks; UV-resistant dyes; high-quality, exclusive fragrance oils.
	Continuously test (both in-house and independently) using ASTM/EU standard protocol to analyze our products for physical characteristics, performance and, most importantly, safety.

Not only do we value our neighborhood environment in Bali, but we also believe in giving back to the rich community where we work and produce traditional, handmade candles. For example, Natural Light Candle Co. worked with the Aceh Reconstruction Program to provide vocational and skill training to 20 persons from Aceh. We are also sponsors of the annual Balinale International Film Festival which provides free educational workshops for Indonesian students. Contact us to find out how you can help.
